Apparently, the release of Jimi Wanjigi led to the discovery of some challenges that some media houses are facing including NTV.
Wanjigi shared his photos while addressing the press after his release and a keen Twitter user noted that NTV’s microphone was not in good condition.
Without any hesitation, the twitter user asked the station to stop embarrassing themselves and acquire a new microphone.
“Lakini @ntvkenyasurely wacheni aibu ndogo ndogo. Hii kitu kama imekuliwa na doggy just buy another one. Ama tuwachangie?” Weps Sylvester tweeted.

Another twitter user also noted that there was another microphone that was in a worse condition.
“Thanks kunote na hio ingine ina cheka ni ya shesheni gani?” Gideon Dube posed.
It was however clear that the hand that was holding the NTV microphone was also holding the ‘laughing’ microphone thus leading to conclusions that the microphone too belonged to NTV.
The discovery elicited reactions with a section of twitter users claiming that that the TV station was broke to the core.
Wanjigi was freed on Wednesday after spending a night in a police station for the first time in his life.
He was arraigned at the Milimani Law Courts but no charges were preferred against him due to an order from the High court that barred his prosecution as well as that of his wife, Irene Nzisa.
The Milimani Senior Principal Magistrate Bernard Ochoi ruled that the case against Wanjigi could not proceed until further directions are given from the High Court.
Speaking after his release, Wanjigi said that the officers at Kamukunji police station treated him very well and would check on him from time to time, something that he was grateful for.
He however claimed that DCI boss George Kinoti has been acting on directions from his masters, who happens to be president Uhuru Kenyatta and his government, to harass his family since 2017.
Wanjigi accused ODM leader Raila Odinga of betrayal by uniting with president Uhuru Kenyatta through handshake on March 9, 2018, alone and leaving behind all the people that had sacrificed for him before and after the 2017 general elections.
“My Friend Raila Odinga is Judas Iscariot who for 30 pieces of silver betrayed the truth and justice it was exemplified by Jesus Christ, that is who he is,” Wanjigi told the press.
Below is Wanjigi’s full address.
