A section of his followers also asked him to take over the gospel industry as well because it is evident from the song that he can do so well.

“Utaweza sana kama mwalimu pale sunday,” comedian Mulamwah responded to Khalighraph’s post on Instagram.

“Chukua pia gospel industry,” Mr. Nasty said while another fan asked whether he had received a license to sing a gospel song from the self proclaimed chair of the gospel music in Kenya, Ringtone.

“@ringtoneapoko Apoko amekupea lisence ya injili??anyway OGs must be respected,” Mazukapeet said.

Khaligraph however began his music career as a gospel singer in 2004 before settling on rap since he was not interested in gospel music.

“Although I started rapping when I was a kid. I started with gospel music in 2004 I recorded my first song together with Hope Kid – we even formed a group. I wanted to do something I wanted to do and not do it because of influence. I wanted to create my own path. At that time, where I came from, everyone who was an artiste was doing gospel, but I wasn’t comfortable and I did not want to ask people to lead a life that me, myself I wasn’t leading,” the OG said in an interview with Mpasho.
