Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala has warned One Kenya Alliance principals against joining hands with ODM leader Raila Odinga.
Speaking in Webuye at Dina junction on Friday during the OKA tour in Bungoma county, Malala threatened to decamp OKA if the principals associate themselves with Odinga.
He accused the former prime minister of fooling the Luhya nation and sweet talking them whenever election period approaches.
He also asked Odinga to keep off Oka matters and only concentrate on his ambition of becoming the next president.
“I want Raila to get this clearly. Please avoid salivating for the OKA alliance. Just continue doing your campaigns as we do ours. This team is the one that will form the next government,” Malala said.
Recounting the handshake with president Uhuru Kenyatta , Malala accused Odinga of taking the step without consulting with NASA principals who supported him during the 2017 elections.
“I want Wetangula, Mudavadi and Kalonzo to learn a lesson from Raila after he went into agreement with President Kenyatta he forgot about NASA issues,” he said.
Malala also complained about Kalonzo’s decision to invite Raila at Wiper party’s NDC that took place in Kasarani Gymnasium on Thursday November 25 saying that the ODM leader should not be involved in OKA matters.
Kalonzo however responded by saying that the alliance should welcome all those willing to support them so that they can produce a president in the coming elections.
“I want to tell my brother Malala that when a visitor comes into your house you cannot chase them away, instead welcome them. We have been in politics for a long time and OKA is a national alliance that should accommodate all leaders,” Kalonzo said.
