Francis Atwoli Reveals Why DP Ruto Is A Threat To Jeff Koinange Once He Ascends To Power

Date:

COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli has cautioned Citizen TV news anchor Jeff Koinange over his relationship with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Speaking during the JKL show on Wednesday October 20, Atwoli told Jeff that his relationship with the president will cost him.

According to Atwoli, this will happen if Deputy President William Ruto ascends to power after the 2022 general elections.

“Where is your security Jeff? You will have a problem. Are you not related to President Uhuru Kenyatta?” Atwoli asked.

Jeff is known to be President Kenyatta’s cousin.

He went to explain that Jeff will be arrested because of his relationship with the president and his allies.

“You will be the first person to be arrested because of your affiliations with the likes of Atwoli. Before you get any lawyer to bail you out, you will have answered so many questions,” he stated.

Atwoli further said that Jeff’s businesses in Kenya and South Africa will be disrupted if DP Ruto gets to office.

Responding to Atwoli, the news anchor however denied owning businesses in South Africa.

The COTU official claimed that Mt. Kenya will be dealt a huge blow if DP Ruto rises to power while asking the region to safeguard their interest by picking a suitable person as a presidential candidate in the coming general elections

“I understand political dynamics in Kenya. I have seen popular leaders and they did not become President. People will turn up to vote in 2022 in big numbers,” he said.

He however insisted that DP Ruto does not have a high chance of winning the 2022 elections because of criticism towards the president.

“If you are a deputy aspiring to be a president in future, you have to support the person currently in power until the end of his term. By doing so, he will also support your bid. You will improve your chances and if you stay humble you will easily get into office,” Atwoli said.
