Suspected child serial killer Masten Wanjala on Wednesday morning escaped from the Jogoo Road Police Station under unclear circumstances.
According to a local publication, the police officers reported that they noticed Masten Wanjala was absent from the police station at around 7am when they were conducting the routine roll call.
It is suspected that Masten Wanjala might have escaped from the custody either on Wednesday morning or Tuesday night since he was at the facility the whole of yesterday.
Following the developments of his escape from custody, senior police officers visited the station in an effort to understand what happened.
Masten Milimo Wanjala popularly known as the self confessed vampire recently revealed that he had killed more than ten children. The 20 year old killer was scheduled to be presented before the court today Wednesday October 13th.
The suspect was arrested on July 13th by the criminal detectives from Buruburu police station after he kidnapped the 12 year old Junior Mutuku Musyoka and the 13 year old Charles Opindo. The two lifeless bodies would later be retrieved dumped in a thicket.
In the meantime, a widow in Bungoma County is crying for justice after her husband was wrongfully accused of murdering a boy aged 9 and dumping his body in their pit latrine.
Mary Ajenga wants justice for her late husband who died of stress after being accused of a crime he did not commit.
This comes after the real suspect behind the death, serial killer Masten Milimo Wanjala, led DCI detectives to a home in Bungoma County where he claimed to have buried some of his victims.
They visited Sosio village in Kamukuywa ward, Kimilili Constituency where the 9- year old, identified as Emmanuel Wafula was allegedly killed before his body was dumped in the pit latrine belonging to Haron Ajenga in February 2019.
