Nyeri residents extended a thunderous welcome to Raila Odinga during his visit and one woman in particular caused a stir as she went overboard with compliments for Baba.
Raila pulled mammoth crowds during his rallies in different towns in Nyeri, Murang’a and Kiambu counties early this week.
In some instances, Raila’s convoy was blocked by elated residents who demanded the former Prime Minister to address them.
Raila’s Mt. Kenya tour caused political earthquake with William Ruto’s allies from the region going into a panic mode.
The DP allies from mount Kenya had been perpetrating Railaphobia and creating the notion that the former Prime Minister is not welcomed in the region.
Several allies of the former Prime Minister were elated following the successful Mt Kenya campaign blitz.
Homa Bay Town MP Peter Kaluma offered to reward a woman in Mathira, Nyeri county who was caught in viral clip singing Raila’s praises like she had been paid millions to do so.
“Karibu hapa Mathira baba, karibu, karibu asante baba. Akituambia tung’oe reli tunang’oa, akisema tumchague tunamchagua, akisema turushe maye tunarusha mawe,” the woman shouted.
Kaluma was so impressed after the woman zealously welcomed Raila in Mathira that he decided to look for her.
“I’m searching for this great lady with her Sh.20,000.00. Whoever has her number should inbox asap. Ladies will be our soldiers in the battlefront to a peaceful, united Kenya,” Kaluma tweeted.
