A middle-aged woman caused drama in Ibacho, Kisii county after she approached a helicopter ferrying Fred Matiang’i and demanded audience with the Interior CS.
The lady identified as Christine accosted Matiang’i as he boarded a chopper after laid a foundation stone at Ibacho Level Four Hospital.
Christine bolted towards Matiangi’s chopper but she was grabbed the CS’s security detail before police moved in to take her away.
In a viral clip, Kisii County Commander Francis Kooli is seen being assisted by junior officers to move Christine away from Matiangi’s helicopter.
Speaking to the press after the incident, Christine claims she is a well known by police in the area and local leaders and that she doesn’t understand why she was roughed up.
The woman said she works with police as a sign language interpreter to help deaf and dumb people lodge complaints with authorities.
She complained that she suffers from epilepsy and that she was hurt by police who manhandled her. She called on leaders to assist her financially to get treatment.
However, in a new video released by a Gusii radio presenter, Christine was seen pretending to be deaf and dumb to swindle cash from then Nairobi governor Mike Sonko.
In the clip, Christine used sign languages to explain her situations, it took the efforts of an interpreter to help Sonko understand her plight.
According to her, she wanted money to buy some medicines as she was suffering from serious chronic kidney disease.
Apparently Christine is a serial con artist who always takes advantage of any leader she meets to swindle them cash.
Kenyans had lashed out at Matiang’i for not granting Christine audience when she rushed to his chopper, little did they know the woman is a con.
