Are you one of the newly recruited teachers? Well. During the recruitment of a new teacher, it is important to know and understand the documents you will be required to submit by the TSC.
Failure to submit the required document in the required order may make you lose the appointed with the employer’s payroll. This may in turn delay your salary. In extreme cases, TSC may send you a regret letter implying that your application for TSC has been rejected.
Documents required by the BOM
BOM carries out interviews for shortlisted candidates. This is carried out at the County level. At this point, the candidate will be required to submit the following documents to the Secretary, Board of Management ( who is the school principal).
- Duly signed application for employment letter
- Duly signed a commitment letter to serve in the school for a minimum period of five (5) years and three (3) in the case of the North-Eastern region;
- Original and copies of the following documents:
- National Identity card (both side)
- NHIF card
- Bank Plate
- KRA PIN certificate
- Certificate and testimonial; KCPE, KCSE, ‘A’ Level, Diploma, Degree, etc.
- 2 passport size photographs
- NCPDW card (where applicable)
- Official Academic transcripts
- Duly filled pay point particular’s form
- Primary and Secondary school leaving certificate and other testimonials
- Evidence of separation from the Commission for those previously employed by TSC
- Acknowledgment of receipt of an application for employment
- Evidence of service as a teacher intern (where applicable).
TSC checklistÂ
Other than the BOM checklist, the school principal is expected to submit the following documents to the TSC Sub-County director:
- Minutes of the selection panel duly signed
- Completed selection score duly signed
- Duly filled and signed Application of Employment Form(APPT 1)
- Duly signed a commitment letter to serve the school for a minimum period of five (5) years in case of the North Eastern region
- Certified copy of the following document:
