Prepare for war! Moses Kuria tells Raphael Tuju on Jubilee Party changes

Date:

Moses Kuria, the Gatundu South MP has told Jubilee Secretary General Raphael Tuju to prepare for war after he officially published changes made to the party’s National Management Committee (NMC) despite the Registrar of Political Parties referring back the matter to the outfit.

The vocal Tanga Tanga legislator said Tuju was engaged in sideshows which would leave him crying. In a Facebook post on Saturday, May 2, a few hours after the secretary-general made official the appointment of Lucy Nyawira Macharia, Marete Marangu, Walter Nyambati, Jane Nampaso and James Waweru as new members of the NMC, Kuria vowed.

Ruto’s allies would fight back. “Despite the ruling by the Registrar of Political Parties, “ODM special envoy” in Jubilee Raphael Tuju has placed a notice in Saturday papers with the irregular changes in the Jubilee National Management Committee.

“We are at the onset of a budget and finance bill process in parliament and we needed peace and space without political sideshows. Anyway, war has been declared. It will end in tears,” he wrote.

While making the appointments, Tuju noted the changes had the blessings of party leader President Uhuru Kenyatta. Ruto who seems to have been declared a persona non grata in government, is also a pariah in the ruling party as his pleas and those of his allies to have the changes nullified fell on deaf ears.

“The president and party leader of the Jubilee Party did not and can not be party to any fraudulent illegal changes to officials of our party. This is the work of political rejects, con men and fraudsters whose party allegiance was already elsewhere. “They should give us a break and leave Jubilee Party alone,” he tweeted on Sunday, April 12.
