We’re Beginning To Flatten The Covid-19 Curve — CS Kagwe

Date:

The Ministry of Health said Kenya is begging to flatten the Covid-19 curve but maintained that Kenyans must continue adhering to the guidelines to avoid a second spike of the deadly virus.

Health Cabinet Secretary Muathai Kagwe said the country has in the last several days seen a positivity rate of below five percent.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), when a country can run below five percent positivity for 14 to 21 days, then it will be considered to have started flattening the pandemic curve.

On Wednesday CS Kagwe announced 130 more people tested positive for the Covid-19 from a sample size of 3874. Kagwe noted that it was a positivity rate of 3.4 percent.
