Michelle Obama, the former US first lady seems to have made a fortune from her memoir Becoming. The 400-page book, published in 2018, was to guide readers on how to discover their voice while also getting to see Michelle’s life journey.

The book ended up being a great success making her one of the authors to harvest greatly from their story. According to Forbes, the mother of two made a staggering KSh 3.8 billion after selling 10 million copies of her memoir in 2019.

That is how much Michelle Obama made from her memoir, Becoming, after selling 10 million copies in 2019. She was the third-highest-paid author of last year,” Forbes wrote on their website.

Michelle was also reported to be the third highest-paid author in 2019. Not only did she make a lot of money from the book but she also won a Grammy. On Sunday, January 26, she was named the winner for Best Spoken World Album for the audio version of her famous book.
