50-year Old Man Lands In Trouble For Faking Heart Attacks To Dodge Bills In 20 Restaurants

Date:

A 50-year old Spanish man is in police custody after he was blasted for faking heart attacks after eating in restaurants.

The suspected, identified as Aidas J, is said to have duped at least 20 restaurants in Blanca regions.

Sources reveal that Aidas would eat  fancy dinners and suddenly fake heart attacks to avoid paying bills.

While acting to be sick, he would fall on the floor and hold on to his chest, pretending to be in agony. Unaware of the fake act, the restaurant that he would be eating in would call an ambulance that would ferry him to a hospital.

The police also said that he would dress in designer clothes and pretend to be from a tourist Russia who doesn’t understand Spanish.

The suspect’s dirty tricks had stretched for a period of two months but as they say, a thief has 40 days and his 40th day surely came.

Aida was discovered when he walked into a restaurant that he had scammed before. He ate dinner worth Kshs5,500 and afterwards pulled his heart attack stunt.

Aware of his games, the restaurant workers called the police instead of an ambulance as usual.

“I think he forgot he had already scammed us before, so he came back and tried it for the second time. It was very theatrical, he pretended to faint and slumped himself down on the floor,” the manager of the restaurant told a Spanish news outlet.

The suspect’s photo has since been circulated widely in the hospitality industry to prevnt him from scamming another hotel.
