14 people were injured on Saturday night December 9 following a tragic accident involving a matatu and a truck.
The accident occured at Migaa area between Salgaa and Sachangwan.
Kenya Red Cross stabilized the 14 Injured individuals before they were transferred for further treatment at the Nakuru Provincial General Hospital.
“A tragic road accident involving a lorry and a 14-seater matatu has been reported at Migaa between Salgaa and Sachangwan in Nakuru County, ” Kenya Red Cross statement read in part.
“14 individuals injured, stabilized on-site by the Red Cross Action Team and evacuated to Nakuru Provincial General Hospital with support from well-wishers, ” it added.
The accident caused heavy traffic forcing motorists to spend hours on the highway.
However, Kenya police moved to help clear traffic.
“Kenya Police are currently clearing the scene and the Kenya Red Cross will provide psychosocial support to those affected,” Kenya Red Cross updated.
