Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa with her co-accused and bodyguard Geoffrey Otieno will appear before the court on February 2, 2021, for the first hearing of their murder case.
Senior sate counsel Alloys Kemo said he has 30 witnesses to testify against the murder trial involving the MP and her bodyguard.
According to Justice Ann Ong’injo, four witnesses will testify on the first hearing date.
He ordered the state lawyer to share provide Jumwa’s defense attorney, Gerald Magolo with the list of the witnesses.
The murder case will be heard in phase, with the first hearing scheduled for three consecutive days starting on February 2.
Aisha Jumwa and her bodyguard are linked to the death of Ngumbao Jola, a 48-year-old-man who was shot in the chaos that erupted during campaigns for a by-election in Ganda Ward in Malindi on October 15, 2019.

Jumwa and Otieno were granted bond with Jumwa having been released on Sh4 million cash bail or Sh3 million bond while Otieno was given Sh1 million cash bail or Sh1,5 million bond.
