On Saturday Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen spilled one of the unknown details of the Education Cabinet Secretary Prof George Magoha.
Taking to his Twitter account the outspoken Senator revealed Prof Magoha’s University life at the University of Nairobi saying reliable sources told him the CS was suspended from the University of Nairobi and had to finish his university education in Nigeria.
“I am reliably informed that Prof. Magoha was suspended from UoN and completed his studies in Nigeria,” Kichumba Murkomen said.
The revelation is yet to be confirmed by the CS if the accusation by Murkomen is true.
But according to his profile, Prof Magoha was awarded a scholarship to study human medicine at the University of Lagos, in Nigeria after he excelled well in his University entry examination.
Studies took Magoha through the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, the University College Hospital, Ibadan, both in Nigeria and the Royal Postgraduate Medical School, in the UK as per his online profile.
Prof Magoha is trained as a specialized urologist and is a Fellow of the Royal College.to
The tweet by the Senator has however caused an internet uproar with Kenyans on Twitter reacting to the tweet.
In the reaction, many Kenyans questioned and mocked Magoha’s long CV which he presented when he was being interviewed before he was confirmed as the Education Cabinet Secretary.

The revelation comes at the time when Prof Magoha is taking center stage in preparation for the resumption of schools that has been suspended for 6 months after the Ministry of Health reported the first Covid-19 positive case in the country in March.
Learners were therefore asked to stay at home until advised otherwise by the Ministry of Education. Currently, the plan of the presumption of schools is underway after the Ministry of Health confirmed that the Covid-19 curve is flattening.
