Apparently what caused the Deputy President to not attend the National COVID-19 event has been revealed.
A corroborated and reliable source has reached our desk telling us that the Deputy President William Ruto was at the State House unannounced last Friday.
Ruto decided to drive himself there without any official invitation from the President of the Republic or the Chief of Staff after his numerous calls to the House went unanswered.
Sources revealed that upon arriving at State House, Ruto requested to see the President, but State House Comptroller Kinuthia Mbugua told him that Uhuru was busy in a meeting and could not see him.

The source has it in good standing that the DP was later on asked to leave the State House at once with a promise to pass the message to the President with a promise that Uhuru Kenyatta will return his calls and see him later.
The Deputy President wasn’t a happy man when he left the State House and it’s believed that the event at State House on Friday is what made Ruto skip Uhuru’s COVID-19 event at the KICC on Monday.
The organizers were actually shocked to learn about the DP not attending the function because they did not expect him to skip it entirely.
