Kenyan Deputy president William Samoei Ruto has arrived in the United Kingdom (UK) after spending several days in the United States.
However, a number of Kenyans have expressed fears that William Ruto is likely to embarrass the country in the UK just like he did in the United States.
William Ruto recently embarrassed Kenyans after claiming without evidence that there were plans to rig the 2022 general elections. These sentiments were seen as talking negatively not only about the country but also the government which he is the second in command.
Besides, Kenyans wondered why a whole deputy president was talking ill of his country instead of using the locally available constitutional bodies such as recording statements with the DCI if he has evidence of election rigging.
“Ruto is maligning the name of Kenya just to please a foreign country. The guy is accusing the country of election rigging even after claiming that no election would be rigged under his watch. This guy is a total embarrassment to the Kenyan citizens given how he has handled himself in the United States.
To make it worse, William Ruto through his communication team also embarrassed the country after he lied that he had paid a visit to the White House.
Through his communication team led by former Citizen TV News anchor Hussein Mohamed, Ruto claimed that he had gone to the White house, only for the same to turn out to be the biggest lie of the century.
Hussein Mohamed had claimed in a tweet that the deputy president and the ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi had been hosted at the White house to discuss partnership matters between Kenya and the United States.

However, Kenyans were quick to notice that Hussein Mohamed had just lied since the place DP Ruto visited was Eisenhower Building as opposed to the White House as claimed by Hussein.

“He did not enter the White House. He entered the adjacent building, Eisenhower building. Ruto did not see the inside of the White House.” Added Pauline Njoroge.

“And the way Hussein Mohammed used to be an honest guy. I think there’s something that happens when one starts walking around with #Wakoras. The kikuyu even have a saying for it..” said Nyeri town MP Ngunjiri wambugu.
“We will debunk this false! Eisenhower Building is where Ruto was hosted. It is like saying you will be hosted in Harambee House but end up in Treasury building adjacent to the former, Ruto walked in via the rare gate not even the main entrance. Prove me WRONG ?” Tweeted another Kenyan by the name Amakanji.
