You Are Only Allowed To Vie In Eldoret Under Ruto’s UDA And Not Any Other Party- Kipchumba Murkomen

Date:

Allies of the deputy president William Samoei Ruto have declared Uasin Gishu county a no-go zone for those not contesting under the United democratic alliance (UDA) party.

Led by Ruto’s key ally Elgeyo Marakwet senator Kipchumba Murkomen, the leaders issued a strict warning to leaders who have embraced other party ideologies instead of being aligned to the deputy president’s newly formed UDA party.

Specifically, senator Murkomen took a swipe at the Kesses Member of parliament, Mishra Swarup, Cherangany MP Joshua Kutuny and Moiben MP Silas Tiren. According to Murkomen, these leaders are not loyal to DP Ruto despite riding on his popularity to get their parliamentary seats.

As a result, the Elgeyo Marakwet senator made it clear that the world  belongs to the hustlers and they won’t elect any leader not subscribing to Ruto’s UDA.

“Wangapi wanasema tumetoa ujumbe kutoka Eldoret ya kwamba dunia hii ni ya hustler? wangapi wanasema viongozi wote waombe kura kwa UDA? Tuko UDA pamoja? Asked Murkomen amidst chants from the locals.

These sentiments of no madoadoa were also reiterated by Ruto’s key ally Meru senator Minthika Linturi who urged Eldoret residents to do away with those not embracing the UDA.

“watu wa Uasin Gishu musicheze na Kenya, na kile nawaomba ni kwamba madoadoa yale muliyonayo hapa muweze kuondoa.” Said Mithika while addressing the mammoth crowd.

These sentiments did not however go well with the majority of Kenyans who wondered why allies of Ruto were warning other leaders to only embrace the deputy president’s party while the same DP has been traversing the country advocating for Kenya without ukabila.

In the meantime, Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala, in an unprecedented move, graced Ruto’s UDA rally that was held at the Eldoret Sports Club, Uasin Gishu County.

Malala, who was dressed in ANC party colours, made a grand entry at the fully-packed sports ground in what seems to be a political signal as the Uhuru succession politics continues to gain momentum.

“ANC party might be part of OKA, but we must court political allies beyond the One Kenya Alliance. So will it be wrong if Mudavadi comes to the Rift Valley to seek political allies and by good luck or bad luck gets into an agreement with Ruto?” he quipped amid cheers from the crowd.

Speaking at the event Malala added that he attended the rally following Musalia Mudavadi’s assurance that the ANC party embraces the freedom of association as anchored in the Kenyan Constitution

However, Mudavadi’s ANC party, through a statement posted on its social media accounts, distanced itself from Malala’s sentiments, stating that it had not dispatched any of its members to represent the party at the Eldoret rally.

The party further clarified that official party positions are only communicated by the party leader or the secretary-general.

There have been rumors that Musalia Mudavadi is warming up to join William Ruto through his key ally Kakamega senator Cleophas Malala.
