Woman Dies In The Hands Of Chicken Amid, DP Ruto’s Fiasco

Date:

As the country continues to debate the number of security guards allocated for Deputy President William Ruto’s chicken, a woman in Siaya County has been lynched to death for stealing a chicken.

The 35-year-old woman was lynched by irate public members for allegedly stealing 21 chicken at Onyata ‘B’ village in the Bar-Kowino sub-location in Bondo.

Eunice Akoth was reportedly caught carrying one of the chickens, which had been stolen the previous night before the villagers descended on her with beating after she failed to explain where she had gotten the chicken.

According to the area Assistant Chief Edwin Olima, the woman in the company of other people broke through the wall of a house where the poultry was kept before making away with 21 of the birds.

The administrator revealed that the woman was burnt beyond recognition after failing to disclose her accomplices, which angered the public members who were senselessly beating her before setting her body on fire.

Mr. Olima condemned the actions of the public members for taking the law into their own hands.

The woman’s remains have since been moved to Bondo Sub-County Hospital as the police continue to investigate the incident.
