Controversial artist Willy Paul claims that he has lost business endorsements worth Kshs96 million because of the rape allegations against him.
Rapper and YouTuber Diana Marua accused Willy Paul of attempting to rape her a few years ago and even claimed that a number of women have come out to reveal that they went through a similar encounter.
All this was as a result of Willy Paul releasing a song claiming that he had slept with Diana, who happens to be Bahati’s wife, his biggest frenemy.

Through a post shared on his social media accounts, the I Do hitmaker said that Diana had won in tarnishing his name.
“Thank you you’ve won, I’ve lost a deal worth 10m from a telecommunication company. 4m from a mattress company and an international recording and distribution deal worth 82m.
Thank you very much. You’ve won,” Willy Paul wrote accompanied by a warning statement.
In his statement, Willy Paul claimed that the women had been handed scripts by Diana and her crew who promised them money and gifts to accuse him of sexual assault.
Willy Paul said that he was not going to take that crap lying down and warned of serious legal consequences both individually and collectively to those giving false claims about him.
“I can not and will not condone such kind of claptrap aimed at tarnishing my good name. Willy Paul is not Wilson Ouma. Willy Paul is a brand name with commercial interests both locally and abroad,” part of the statement read.
He went on to say that he would not sit down to watch as his constitutional rights get violated.
“I will fight to the end to see that justice is served. I cannot take away your freedom of expression but such freedom must be exercised with regards to other people’s right to dignity,” the artist went ahead.
