Apparently, Sauti Sol has worked on several songs with Diamond Platinum and Wizkid but the songs never got released.

Speaking in an interview recently, the Band’s leader, Bien Aime Baraza said that the songs were never released because they lacked something.

“I have so many albums right now all I am doing is releasing the songs. I have been in the studio with Wizkid and with Diamond Platnumz but at that time those songs did not add up,” Bien revealed.

“As Sauti sol we worked with Wizkid in Kenya and in Nigeria,” he went on.

Bien said that it has been hard to fix the missing piece since the artists involved have busy schedules.

“Sometimes you find something is missing and once the artist is gone it is very hard to find them,” the artist said.

Bien said that he has learnt that both parties in a collaboration should be interested in the song they are working on as he embarks on doing solo projects.

“Now that I am growing I have learned that it’s important for the person you are collaborating with to want the song as much as you do,” he said.

Sauti Sol members are working on solo projects dubbed Alone Together until May 2022 when they will release an album as a band.

Th band made the announcement in October saying that their step was influenced by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Currently Bien is trending with his Album featuring Aaron Rimbui with songs like Bald Men Anthem and Mbwembwe while Polycarp is working on single tracks.

In an interview with Jalang’o, he said that the group had not permanently split but they were just giving their fans a chance to know them on an individual level.

“It’s time we show ourselves as individuals  before we come back for another glorious season of Sauti Sol. Break up itoke wapi? Ngoma iko kwa You Tube ya nani? All the music is on Sauti Sol’s platforms, even our singles, we built that together, we are brothers,” Bien clarified.
