Businessman Jimi Wanjigi’s political career might just end as fast as it began because of the frustrations that he is undergoing.
Maybe it is just about time for the billionaire to quit politics and just concentrate on his businesses but it is very clear that he is not reading the signs.
First it began with frustrations in the ODM party. Wanjigi, who had been a member of the party for a number of years wanted to take over the leadership out of nowhere and vie for the presidency in the coming general elections.
He even went to the extent of paying Ksh 1 million required for the presidential nominations, money he claims was never returned to him after being denied the chance.
Wanjigi wanted to replace the former prime minister so badly that he would move around the country meeting with some of the ODM delegates.
Die hard Members of ODM were however not willing to see Wanjigi bypass Baba at all costs. The billionaire was openly and publicly thrown out of the party during the party’s National Delegates Conference on February 26.
At that point, he had no option but to sever his ties with the party as well as its leader Raila Amollo Odinga.
Days later, Wanjigi moved to Paul Muite’s Safina party to pursue his presidential ambitions but from the look of things, the worst news is awaiting him
According to sources, Muite’s Safina has now shown intentions of working with Azimio thus raising questions of what would happen to Wanjigi.
“Jimi Wanjigi joined Safina Party yesterday(Wednesday) from Raila’s ODM Party then Boom!! he was told that Safina is joining Azimio La Umoja last night. He is leaving. There is no rest for the wicked! fagia wotee,” Karanja Mwaniki said on Twitter.

Other sources claim that Safina will make the move on Saturday during the Azimio la Umoja NDC. It is also alleged that owners of Safina are in Azimio and others in UDA.
Previously, Wanjigi had shown signs of working with OKA but it seems things did not turn out as expected. Its just now a matter of time to see how this unfolds.
