Why Eric Omondi Should Not Be Blamed For Not Supporting Jacque Maribe’s Son

Date:

Seemingly, Eric Omondi and Jackie Maribe are not fighting each other for child support and DNA test issues for the first time.

All this drama was sparked by Maribe’s comment after Eric revealed that he was expecting a child with musician Miss P.

Eric had said that he was going to take responsibility for Miss P’s pregnancy since children are a blessing.

“I met this Beautiful Woman 5 months ago in an event I was hosting. Whatever happened happened and I promised her I would take every Responsibility. Children are a blessing from God. @officialmissp_ @babybumpkenya,” shared Eric on IG.

Maribe responded to Eric’s post spilling the beans that he has not been taking care of his fatherly responsibilities to their son Zahari.

Maribe’s sister, Cate also came out to confirm the same revealing that Eric is a super deadbeat father.

Eric however took to his Instagram narrating what really transpired between him and the journalist and why he should not be blamed for not supporting Zahari.

In a long post, Eric narrated that he met Maribe in 2012 while they were working at Radio Africa group. Eric was working at Radio Jambo  while Maribe was at Kiss TV.

The comedian said that he only had a one night stand with Maribe during a staff’s party and insisted that they used protection.

“After two Months Jacque tells me she’s Pregnant!!! I immediately ask her how since we used Protection??? She then tells me “It doesn’t matter the mother always knows who the Father is and that I am the Father!!! During the entire Pregnancy nothing happened and we barely saw each other,” Eric wrote.

Four months after Zahari was born, Maribe reached out to Eric asking if he was going to be part of Zahari’s life. Eric was willing to do so but he first requested for a DNA test which greatly offended Jacque.

“I asked her for a DNA test so that I could comfortably be part of the baby’s life and SUPPORT fully. She got very offended and Refused my request. For 7 seven years I have begged Jacque to allow us to have a DNA Test and she has CONTINUALLY refused!!!”

Gospel singer Daddy Owen who is a friend to the two confirmed that they had discussed the issue many years ago.

“Wah, I remember this discussion we had many years ago …??? u guys are both my friends.. wah.. sasa hii wah,” Daddy Owen responded to Omondi’s post.

The question now remains, why Jacques does not want a DNA test to prove that Eric is really the father.

Jacque, who is yet to respond to Eric’s allegations, said that he has been taking care of their son alone.

She recently revealed that she had had two miscarriages before finally welcoming Zahari.

“One day, while in South Africa, a good friend of mine @brianbaraka told me “uko na mood swings kama za mtu ako na mimba.” We laughed but to be honest it was the hardest trip I did, I was throwing up literally all the time. But I didn’t think I could have been pregnant. Because baby’s daddy @ericomondi had said we wait a while,” Maribe opened up on Instagram.

Omondi was however blamed for publicly rejecting his son yet he has admitted to be Zahari’s father on several occasions.

“This isn’t cool @ericomondi. You have shamed your Baby Mama and your son. It’s been public knowledge that you’re her baby daddy and you even admitted as much. So this whole story you’re bringing might even be true but the public didn’t need to know that much. It’s an honour to be a dad and @jacquemaribe chose you as her son’s father. Now your son, since as far as he knows you’re the daddy will be ridiculed and shamed because you have somewhat denied him publicly. Not cool bro,” activist Boniface Mwangi said.
