DP William Ruto staunch supporter Cosmo Choy, who is based in North Carolina, US, is no longer interested in the Embakasi parliamentary seat.
In an interview with Machiengy TV, he said that he will not be vying for the seat because he fears for his own security, the same reason that made him miss his mother’s burial in October last year.
Choy said that he had been warned by intelligence(in government including police officers that are his friends) not to set foot in the country because he would be killed and his head found in River Yala or River Tana due to the countless insults and allegations of corruption and land grabbing that he had been directing to President Uhuru Kenyatta and his family.
According to him, a red alert was also issued against him such that if he attempts to come to the country he will be arrested and made to disappear.
“I was told that I would be arrested and made to disappear, by the family of Uhuru Kenyatta, that is the intelligence that I got. They told me not to come because I have spoken ill of the family, but what I say is the truth,” Choy said.
He however says that he will be back home despite the red alert, when DP Ruto wins presidential elections.
“I will go home. It is just that I pitied my family, I don’t want them to witness something bad happening to me. I am not scared but I wanted to vie in Embakasi but I will not because of my security but I am praying to God that our fifth president William Samoei Ruto wins the elections so that I can go home and stay in peace,” Choy said.
He also hopes that he will be granted security and now that he has withdrawn from vying for a political seat, he is also hoping for a lucrative position in Ruto’s government
“Because I have withdrawn, I am not contesting any seat, whatever the deputy president will give me, I will be grateful,” Choy said.
Some of the positions that he is hoping to be granted include nominated MP, Nominated senator or Chief Administrative Secretary especially in the Interior Ministry.
