Gatundu South member of parliament Moses Kuria is a bitter man and is directing his bitterness to the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga.
Moses Kuria who is a member of parliament with the capacity to draft a bill to parliament is blaming the ODM leader who has no capacity to present anything to parliament.
According to Kuria, Raila is to take the blame for Mt. Kenya region not having the One Man One Vote Shillings because he has not brought such an amendment to parliament as an opposition leader outside the house.
“To a carpenter, a hammer is the solution to every problem. To Raila Odinga, changing the constitution is the solution to achieving the one man, one vote, one shilling. Yesterday he told the Kiambu Delegates Meeting in Thika that the reason the County is not getting an additional Ksh 9 Billion it deserves is because of the collapse of BBI.” Wrote Moses Kuria.
“If Raila believes in the one man, one vote one shilling he should ask his MPs to support the same Amendment in Parliament the same way he is pushing for the Political Parties Bill within the remaining life of the 12th Parliament.” Added the Gatundu legislator.
Moses Kuria’a sentiments however attracted mixed reactions as follows:
“Why is there no MP from central who is pushing for the same? Must they be directed by Baba?”
“Why not you take the bill to parliament and see who supports or against!”
“You’re an insult to kikuyu community at times… you pretend you fight for their cause but deep inside your heart is somewhere else”
“You have been opposing UHURU MUIGAI KENYATTA government in everything..even that one man one shilling one vote .SHUT UP FOREVER MAN COZ AT THE MOMENT IT’S IMPOSSIBLE”
“Better raila who tried BBI to help kikuyu community,,,our very own mps have never thought of taking such a bill to parliament to have increased revenue to mt kenya region,,,raila u have my vote”
“As an mp from kiambu, move the amendments to Parliament then ask Mr raila to support it. This is a major issue that needs politics aside.”
“Let’s put it constitution through BBI we can’t leave in guess work”
“Says a man who can introduce the same bill in parliament ,may I remind you that Raila is Not a member of parliament ? And that you are one ?”
“Moses Kuria you are still an Mp. Move the amendment and seek Raila support. Otherwise stop blowing hot and cold. Azimio is the way to go.”
“Kuria keep off criticizing Raila odinga all the time kwani wewe you are alesser man. Come out and do it. You have been relying on Raila to build your political careers you good for nothing mps. Kila saa Raila Raila. You opposed the BBI and it is clear the people of mt kenya are watching you clearly. Man of double speak.”
“I do not support the one man one shilling agenda,,we need to stop thinking on the basis of tribe, economic classes and regions?we have to see ourselves a nation. The marginalised areas need more infrastracture and amenities so that they can attract investors. The people supporting this bill are people who own properties in major cities and developed areas and are afraid that if the marginalised areas develop their city properties will lose value?”
