Nairobi Women Rep Esther Passaris was heckled by anti-femicide protesters in NairobiĀ at Jevanjee gardens on Saturday.
Passaris, who had joined the protests that come in the wake of brutal murders of several women, attempted to address the protesters who bashed him for failing to use her voice and position in fighting femicide.
“Where were you? Go back home” the protesters tackled her, forcing her comedown from the podium.
Her bodyguards were forced to whisk her away to safety following the incidence. She would then join the activists in the walk against femicide instead.
