It is not clear whether Raila will concede defeat or not in his speech. A section of Kenyans however believe that Raila has not accepted the outcome of the elections and will be announcing his next move.
Others have however urged him to retire peacefully and not subject himself to a mockery of going to court, because when the court annuls the election, he will lose terribly if another election is held. Below are some reactions from Twitter users.
“If Raila Odinga moves to the SUPREME COURT, he will have made a huge error of judgment. Huge error. You never get a more transparent Elections than this. RAILA MUST CONCEDE and congratulate WSR. He should also condemn what happened yesterday at BOMAS,” one said.
“Going the court way is subjecting our hero to mockery. The same team of lawyers took the BBI issue up to the court of appeal and we all know how that turned out,” read another tweet.
The ODM leader has maintained silence on the matters regarding how the general election was conducted and its outcome. He was also not present at Bomas of Kenya when IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati was announcing the results of the presidential election.
