Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga has vowed to take deputy president William Samoei Ruto and all the corrupt leaders to jail if he takes power.
DP William Ruto had just wished Raila odinga his birthday but he did know know what was breeding in the opposition leader’s mind.
The deputy president wrote: “Happy birthday Jakom. may you be blessed with many more. Raila Odinga.”
However, minutes later, the former prime minister while speaking at Bomas of Kenya during his cake cutting expressed his dissatisfaction with the corruption in the country.
According to Raila, Ruto thrives in philanthropy ranging from giving upto 100 million per month despite his monthly salary being a paltry 2 million shillings.
The ODM leader cited a number of places the DP normally takes his contribution such as churches, buying school buses, holding harambees amongst other things. As a result, he vowed to throw such people perpetuating graft behind bars if he takes power in 2022.
The opposition leader reiterated his social protection program and maintained that he has been a Prime Minister of Kenya hence understands where the money will come from.
He also promised to make Kenya a middle income economy by implementing the vision 2030 which they drafted with former president Mwai Kibaki. At the same time, the ODM leader used the occasion to emphasize the need to foster unity, embrace the youth movement
In the meantime, Raila Odinga who is celebrating his 77th birthday received wishes from the following prominent Kenyans:
