DP William Ruto has mourned the death of his chief of staff Ken Osinde. Osinde succumbed to an undisclosed illness on Friday.
Through a social media post, Ruto said that his office had lost one of its key officers who was hardworking and a broad thinker.
“My Office has lost one of its key officers. Ambassador Ken Nyauncho Osinde was a good leader with robust management and problem-solving skills. As our Chief of Staff, he was hardworking, diligent, broad thinker and a master of human resources.
“My heartfelt thoughts and prayers to the family, colleagues and friends. Rest In Peace my friend, Ken,” DP Ruto wrote.
Osinde died while receiving treatment at Nairobi Hospital. He was 59 years old.
According to the family spokesperson, the deceased has been unwell in the past few months. Some of the things he was being treated for include liver complications.
Osinde had been admitted at the Nairobi hospital for a number of days before he finally succumbed.
His condition had worsened and on Thursday, he was moved to the ICU with his family appealing for blood help.
“Ken was stressed in the past few months but we did not understand what the problem was,” one of his colleagues said.
Osinde began working as chief of staff in the Office of the Deputy President on October 25, 2016 and has been instrumental in running affairs at the office of the DP.
