Singer turned politician Kevin Kioko alias Bahati faced yet another humiliating moment on Monday July 4 during Azimio la Umoja campaigns in Mathare.
Bahati had joined the team led by ODM secretary general Edwin Sifuna and Nairobi gubernatorial hopeful Polycarp Igathe among others to drum up support for Azimio.
In a video that surfaced online, Sifuna and his colleagues gesture Bahati to disembark from the vehicle as he hoped to be the next person on the microphone.
At first, the Mama hitmaker ignored the gestures but when they insisted in anger, he was forced to step down. He engaged in a little altercation before eventually leaving the meeting.

The standoff was witnessed because Bahati, who is vying for Mathare parliamentary seat on a Jubilee ticket, refused to step down for the incumbent Anthony Oluoch, who is vying on an ODM ticket.
Days ago, in a meeting with Azimio delegates in Nairobi county, Sifuna insisted that Oluoch is the main candidate of Azimio and Bahati will be given a job in the Azimio government.
“Here in Mathare, it was decided that ODM will fill the candidate supported by Azimio and that is the current MP Anthony Oluoch . For musician Bahati, we will get him a job in the Azimio government,” sifuna said on June 27.
In his response, Bahati said he has not bowed out of the race and insisted that he will be on the ballot. He also blasted Sifuna on Twitter accusing him of being paid to sabotage his bid.
“”You have already been given three million by my losing opponent to lie that I have stepped down and “you” will offer me a job in the Azimio government. You want to give me a job as who? Stay away from Mathare politics and focus on your bid or you will lose again like in 2017,” Bahati tweeted.
