Kirinyaga governor Anne Waiguru has excited netizens after she decided to try out the Sipangwingwi dance challenge.
Waiguru tried out the viral dance challenge during the launch of the 60 days of Kenya style hustle campaign.
The campaign was launched to celebrate Kenyan fashion designers.
The governor said that she will be sharing photos of her donning Kenyan styled attires for the 60 days.
“Please join me in supporting & celebrating Kenyan style & creative hustle. Everyday for the next 60 days I will share photos of me dressed in ‘Kenyan styled’ attire; from thrifted mitumba, your local Fundi to Kenyan designer wear,” Waiguru shared on Facebook accompanied by the video of her dance challenge.
Following the new move, Kenyans had a lot to say with some likening it to the bottom up economic model.
Litz Pila responded to her post by saying, “Imeweza hii…. Hupangwingwi.”
“One thing I have liked is the way you have transformed from the office madam boss. You have at least eased yourself kidogo,” Wanjau Jesse.

Waiguru began the challenge by sharing her photo donning in a yellow top with blank print pants
“DAY 1/60. The print on these pants is hot & they are so comfortable! Big thanks to Kevo, who thrifted them for me from his Gikomba stall. Definitely will be back for more. Follow me daily on my IG for exclusive view of the 60 styles,” Waiguru said on Friday.
