Blogger Cyprian Nyakundi tried to set up Cotu Secretary general Francis Atwoli with KRA officials over tax evasion claims.
This comes a day after KRA announced that it is monitoring Kenyans on social media who display their lavish lifestyles but fail to pay taxes as required.
Through a tweet, Nyakundi implied that Atwoli is among those Kenyans with flamboyant lifestyles but refuse to pay taxes.
He shared a video of Atwoli with his wife Mary Kilobi enjoying a boat cruise in the Indian Ocean. Atwoli and his wife spent their weekend in Kilifi where he owns a colossal beach house
“Hi @KRACare kuna suspects hapa,” read Nyakundi’s caption.
Atwoli however laughed off Nyakundi’s allegations while urging him to work extremely hard to afford such a lifestyle.
“Nyakundi, this might be you in future if only you focus on your life, and worked hard, and not waking up to troll others on social media. Envy is one of the 7 deadly sins. I want you to live longer. Wacha wivu, amka asubuhi na mapema, chapa kazi. Alafu lipa ushuru,” Atwoli’s response read.
On the other hand, KRA said that it was going for the Cotu secretary general.
“We’re coming for him… He must pay tax,” KRAcare responded.

Social media users also had something to say about Atwoli’s vacation in the coast.
“How comes hii boat haikuinama side yako,” Lofty Bee asked Atwoli.
“Kumbe zile vitisho ye hutowa labour day za employers implementing minimum wage huwa ni ku bargain bribe price yake na wahindi,” another joked.
“Wueh! Nyinyi hamkuelewa, @KRAcare ilikua inamaanisha nyinyi ma sufferer ndio mlipie soft life if any, Sio hawa mabwenyenye. Starehe garama kwa sufferer,” Joeblaq said.
While Sammy Muhanji said, “Yaani nyaks hi Ni pesa ya ma-workers inakulwa hivi. wacha nirudi works nimjazilie kikapu.”
