Viral Nanny Rosie Speaks On Challenges She Underwent While Working In Lebanon

Date:

Roseline Atieno Oyola became an internet sensation while departing from Lebanon where she was working as a house help from October 2021.

At the airport, during her trip back to Kenya, the children she was taking care of were reduced into tears as they watched her leave.

Rosie also got emotional as the reality of leaving behind people who had treated her as family miles away from home drew in.

Many were however pleased by the Lebanese family for being kind to the Kenyan, as there have been cases of mistreatment of African girls in the gulf by their employers.

Rosie stay in the country was however not smooth and she recently opened up on the challenges that she faced.

According to her, she was lonely and would miss her three biological children that she had left back in Kenya.

“It gets very lonely, I would sit with my employers’ babies, remember my own in Kenya and just break into tears,” she said in a video.

Previously, Rosie opened up that she was forced to go to Lebanon to make a living for her children after her marriage hit the rock bottom.

“I was in a marriage and after it was not working out, I decided to look for greener pastures to be able to stabilize the life of my kids. I have three kids, two boys and one girl, the first born is 13 years, second born 6 years and third born 4 years,” she said in an interview.

About her bosses, she spoke highly of them and urged them to treat any other nanny they would live with as they treated her.

She also dispelled claims that they were using her for likes and views on social media.
