Controversies continue to surround DP William Ruto’s visit to the United States each day coming with its own fare share.
On Friday, Kenyans woke up to information that the second in command was at The White house for a closed door meeting.
According to the director of communication for DP Ruto’s campaigns, Hussein Mohamed, the Kenyan delegation were hosted at the White house for a discussion on strategic partnership between Kenya and USÂ
“Kenya’s Deputy President Dr. William Ruto & former Vice President Musalia Mudavadi led a delegation that was hosted at the White House in Washington DC today, in a closed door meeting where issues of strategic partnership between U.S.A & Kenya were discussed, including sustaining Kenya’s trajectory as a constitutional democracy.
“Also in the delegation was Nakuru County Senator Susan Kihika, Kandara MP Alice Wahome and WSR Presidential Campaign Head of International Relations, Ababu Namwamba,” Hussein shared on Twitter.

The communications director might however be required to provide more evidence of Ruto and his team’s presence at the White house other than a ‘photoshopped’ video as some claim because Kenyans are not buying that.
According to some comments sampled from Twitter, DP Ruto did not visit the statehouse, but the house he visited is called Eisenhower. Others wanted to know who was DP Ruto meeting in the closed door session.
“And is not even the White House it’s called the Eisenhower building that houses the Office of the Vice President and National security council offices that you visited,” Kim claimed.
“Who was in the closed door meeting from the American side?” R Mungariri posed.
On the other hand, Gabrel Oguda said that DP Ruto had just gone to tour the white house and there was no meeting at all.
“That guy lied to the Kenyan media that he was going to meet the United States National Security Council only to send photos of him touring the White House with fellow onlookers. Maskini wa Mungu.
Abraham Mutai said, “You film the White House for minutes then your crop in a video of your boss visiting a building adjacent to the white House, essentially misleading your entire Country that you were visiting the White House. What is wrong with this group? UTAPELI, Uongo na ukora kila mahali.”
