Just weeks after giving birth, Samidoh’s baby mama Karen Nyamu is now pleading with her opponents eyeing the Nairobi senatorial seat.
While addressing a group of women, Karen Nyamu urged her competitors not to waste their time competing with her since she just gave birth the other day and deserves some sympathy.
Tafadhali msishindane na mama amejazaa juzi.” She said amidst chants from fellow women who were wearing yellow UDA t-shirts.
While some of her followers congratulated her for being a strong woman, others took a swipe at her as they advised her to stay away from politics since she needed time to heal after delivering. Below were the various sentiments from different Kenyans:
“I know you are a strong woman but enough rest after child birth is very vital.
Atleast 6 weeks.i know you longed to be on the ground and campaign but your wellbeing should be a priority.”
“Mrembo I love your energy amongst all that are seeking seats in Kanairo hakuna anakuona kwa energy. With time and the same energy this thing will be yours to lose.”
“Sasa unataka wanaume waanze kusema hatuskiagi uchungu tukizaa ni kujifanya tu tutreatiwe??.”
“Wewe karenzo wewee…unataka tupunguziwe maternity leave tuambiwe hua tunajifanya??? all the best mama.”
“Yangu Moja ni yako mama,,I love the zeal I hope nomination itakuwa sawa,,the strength of a woman ,2wks n back to bizness like u never left.”
“Vry strong woman …keep up good work karen…..i av admired your Zeal and may God grant you dat seat.”
In the meantime, Samidoh’s baby mama Karen Nyamu is not the woman who minces her words and decided to express what she thinks with her UDA boss William Samoei Ruto.
While accompanying William Ruto in his campaign tours in Nairobi, Karen Nyamu revealed that ladies had sent her to the deputy president to deliver a message that walitaka chuma imesmama tu kama zile za doshi na si yenye imeanguka.
The aspiring Nairobi senator made these sentiments at Kenyatta market. Asked by the Standard why she made those remarks, Karen Nyamu stated that she was unapologetic and that she would not withdraw her sentiments since it was the truth.
As a result, she vowed to continue using the chuma ya doshi remarks in all her rallies because the country needs a strong, sexually energetic leader and not weak men like Mwai Kibaki or Raila Odinga.
“As women, we are opposed to a few people holding meetings in hotels and forcing down our throats an old candidate. We prefer a younger energetic leader like Ruto ready for work,” she said.
“I will repeat it in my next political speech anywhere because that is the truth, I will not sugarcoat it, Kenyans women want a young and energetic leader,” she continued.
Karen Nyamu also blamed Kenyans for running up with her statement without giving her an opportunity to explain what she meant by chuma ya doshi.
“This is all propaganda by our opponents and I cannot allow them to gag me, I will speak my mind and campaign for my candidate in the way I chose.” She said,
However, Kenyans had the following to say after Karen Nyamu’s chuma ya doshi remarks in William Ruto’s rally.
“I just pray to God UDA give tickets to Margaret Wanjiru as governor, Millicent Omanga as women rep and Karen Nyamu as a senator. ODM candidates will walk and defeat them.”
“In a bid to please her political master, Karen Nyamu has dragged us, female aspirants, a 1000 steps back. Now, every two-bit political blogger will want to sexualize our political aspirations,”
“You can never persuade serious voters to elect Karen Nyamu or Margaret Wanjiru in Nairobi as their leaders. Take that to the bank.”
“This is your aspiring leader in UDA, here to replace the sober, articulate and brilliant Johnson Sakaja. I’m told Ruto loves such brains around him, brains he can manipulate, brains that can’t challenge him, the Yes Yes, the how-far -should-I-jump brains,”
“Imagine Ruto expecting to win the Nairobi seats with women and not just being women but people with questionable characters. Just comedians who we’re not sure if they ever stepped in school, maybe except for Karen nyamu who we’re told she’s a lawyer not sure by schooling or wott”
“That Karen Nyamu and Margaret Wanjiru are the two front runners being fronted by UDA for the top Nairobi seats ought to tell you everything you need to know about that party. But most of them won’t see it.”
“Then her dress code matches whatever she is saying. Mtu anaongea hayo maneno na ako uchi. Eeih!”
“The room 350 host almost ducked under the sunroof. That guest has a loose tongue, spilled all the beans in broad daylight.”
“Sasa Sammidoh ajipange tu na doo za DNA, chuma ya doshi nikama ilitembea Room 350????.”
“Kama ako na chuma mbona analilia kila wakati na hi ninround one. Raila ndio chuma halisi…anaenda round zote”
“Dear lord, help us if these are the kind of leaders we’re about to take to office. That is so mannerless for a leader to say infront of her so called boss infact addressing the boss!!. Shame on you!!. Na wananchi wanashangilia.”
