Collins Jumaisi, the man suspected to have murdered at least 42 women, including his wife and dumping their bodies at Kware dumping site has escaped custody.
According to Nairobi Regional commander Adamson Bungei, Jumaisi escaped custody from Gigiri police station along with 12 other suspects who are from Eritrea.
The suspects escaped custody on Tuesday morning. The police got aware of their escape when they went to wake them up for breakfast.
The suspects cut a wire mesh before escaping through the perimeter wall.
Director of DCI Mohamed Amin has confirmed the incident saying a fresh hunt for the suspects had been launched.
“It is unfortunate this has happened but we are pursuing the matter for action,” he said.

Meanwhile, officers investigating Kware murders were able to identify 6 victims and they intent to charge Jumaisi with 6 counts of murder.
