Singer Juliet Mariam Ayub alias Jovial has taken time to warn fans that have the tendency of assaulting performers sexually.
This is after she underwent the encounter for the first time since joining the music industry on Saturday after her performance at Captains lounge.
Jovial said that she was going to take her seat, when one of the fans grabbed her a** and she dealt with him that moment.
“So for the first time a fan disrespectfully grabbed my a** after performance tukipita kuenda kukaa. Labda nitakutaarifu tu wewe pia kama una hio tabia. Maan hata yeye hakutarajia naweza kugeuka mbogo ghafla.(I will also inform you who has such manners, He did not expect that I can turn into a buffallo.),” she wrote on her Insta stories.
The songstress further said that she will defend herself without waiting for security to take action against the perpetrators.
“I am not gonna wait for security to take action. Nitakuvuruga. Nina hakika hawezi kurudia tena,” Jovial said.
Her encounter comes just days after that of Nigerian artist Ruger. Ruger was performing at an event in Nigeria when a female fan at the front row grabbed his genitals.
A shocked Ruger cut short the performance and stormed out of the stage after the experience. The incident sparked a lot of reactions on social media with some netizens condemning the act while others argued that the case would have been different if it was a female artist who would have been assaulted.
