Godfrey Baguma, known as Ssebabi – which means ‘ugliest of them all’ – suffers from a rare medical condition giving him his distinctively repulsive looks, but he still gets hot babes.
Baguma was crowned the ugliest man in Uganda in 2002 after he entered the competition to make money for his cash-strapped family.
Ssebabi is a former cobbler who now uses his unique features to earn a living. He appears at events as Uganda’s ugliest man just for people to see him, but he took it a step further by launching a singing career.
The quinquagenarian has also married three times and has seven children. All of his children were born without any deformities.
Ssebabi divorced his first wife, whom he has two children with, after she cheated on him with another man.
“I caught her cheating with another man and I assured her our relationship was over. She liked me because of my money, but people kept telling her that she could do better, so she started eloping with another man,” Ssebabi said during an interview with Ugandan radio station KFM.
Uganda’s ugliest man then married his second wife Kate Namanda, they stayed together for four years before they got married in a colorful wedding in 2013.
“I stayed with her four years before her people knew where she was. I didn’t want them to see me until we had a child because they would definitely advise her to leave me. She left me when she was six months pregnant but I think she later accepted her fate because she came back two months later,” said Ssebabi.
He added that;
“I told her that I didn’t choose to look the way I do and that if she feels I am a burden, she is free to live me.”
The ugliest man and his second wife have been blessed with five children together. He has been able to fend for his big family thanks to his new found fame.
Ssebabi now makes most of his money from public appearances, where he sings and performs stand-up comedy.
Uganda’s ugliest man took many by surprise last year when he married a third wife. Ssebab wedded his wife in a colorful wedding in September 2020.
