Disgraced journalist Jackie Maribe has left netizens guessing after she hinted on landing a role in Deputy President Gachagua’s office.
This is after it was alleged that she will be the new Communications Director at the office of the deputy president although details about the reports still remain scanty as the office of the deputy president is yet to issue an official communication about the matter.
Responding to the claims via her Insta stories, Maribe simply said ” Mambo tu ya God” which loosely translates to “just God’s doing”.
She further shared congratulatory messages she received from her followers and further quoting a bible verse.
“When the time is right, Isiah 60:22,” Maribe said.
The Bible verse states that, “No matter what you may be facing today, trust in God’s assurance that everything will fall into place in His perfect time.”
Other sources indicate that Maribe is still in the process of securing the job. According to Nairobi News, the former Citizen anchor has been in charge of determining which media houses access Gachagua’s offices.
It is also said that she has been organizing interviews for the second in command as well as determining what goes public from the office.
The Website further reveals that the position of the Director of Communication is yet to be filled but Gachagua inherited some of the communication officials who worked for his boss William Ruto.
Maribe’s flourishing career hit the rock bottom when she was accused alongside her ex-fiancé of being involved with the brutal murder of a Kenyan South Sudan-based businesswoman Monica Kimani, which was occurred in September 2018.
Recently, she was forced to address claims of being depressed, drinking as well as being under suicidal watch.
According to her, bloggers were just using her name to gain traction.
“Suicide watch? Depression? By who? When? Why? I don’t even drink. I’m happy and healthy. But it is life, if people want clicks, what do we do,” she told Nairobi News.
