A petrol attendant at Total Rosslyn petrol station in Ruaka was not lucky and is reported to have died on the spot after he was knocked by a bus.
According to a viral video seen by Sonko News, the bus just drove in at the Total Rosslyn station, crashing the man into one of the walls.
Further, the bus crashed into a small car that was also being fueled by the petrol attendant. One man was however lucky as he ran away from the death zone after he noticed something abnormal about the bus.
According to eyewitnesses, the bus driver seemed to have lost control of the vehicle which made him enter Ruaka’s Total Rosslyn station in order to stop.
On their side, Kenyans had the following to say about the Total Rosslyn Ruaka incident:
“I think the driver had already fainted/heart attack coz there’s no way he could have directed the bus there if it was brake failure..so sad that the attendant lost her life while at work..may she rest in peace”
“Lakini mimy huliza Hawa drivers WA matatu huvuta bangi gany..you loose control and you can’t divert the mat into different direction si hata angelekeza Kwa kitu ingine so sad.”
“That driver isn’t defensive. Even if the brakes failed, the decision of driving into a petrol station is unwise…what if the accident could have caused a fire?”
“Didn’t these people hear the matatu crashing onto the metallic and concrete barriers? The matatu driver is to blame… he knows to hoot in the estates at 3am disrupting people’s sleep but can’t hoot to warn people of impending danger?!!! #SHAME_ON_HIM!!!”
“Looks like the petrol station attendant got in shock or panicked..He couldn’t move or run for his life…Too bad manze..A painful way to die ?…May he’s soul rest in peace ?️!!”
“I think this was as a result of fatigue, drug use and body disorders, since the mentioned factors can affect the driver’s reaction time.”
“That was a brake failure and the guy deliberately decided to crash there. Very very sad”
“So sad kweli Hii Dunia akuna mtu anajua siku yake…. The girl left home going to work kumbe she was going to meet her death… May she Rest in peace”
“The entrance huwa nakamlima so this driver made very wrong decision, again maybe he thought hizo barriers would stop the car,”
This event comes a few days after a viral video of shameless thieves robbing and beating a shell petrol attendant.
From the video, two men came out of their Toyota car number plate (KCX/A 820M) only to end up ambushing the shell petrol attendant who had just filled their tank with fuel.
Feeling helpless, the petrol attendant decided to cooperate in a bid to give the two pathetic thieves ample time to complete their mission.
After finishing, one robber went back to the car as the other one rained blows and kicks on the innocent attendant despite him doing as they ordered. The two juvenile thieves then drove away; however, their number plate was captured by various CCTVs around the premises.
