Ugandan artists who happen to be brothers, Jose Chameleone and Weasel caused a buzz on social media after they were captured exchanging saliva.
The two, whose real names are Joseph Mayanja and Douglas Mayanja, are said to have kissed on stage during a live concert in Bujumbura, Burundi.
The now deleted photo was shared by Weasel who captioned it, “Forever and ever”. Their action left fans wild with some wondering why they had made a habit of exchanging saliva in public.
In November 2016, Chameleone and Weasel were captured kissing on stage in a concert in Kampala. Chameleone went to the stage to perform after Weasel and they exchanged saliva just before the handover.
In a separate incident in March this year during a family reunion Weasel was captured kissing Chameleone and their brother Pius Mayanja who is popularly known as Pallaso.
In the recent case, there were mixed reactions with some fans saying that they brothers truly loved each other and nothing more while others condemned the act, blaming it on modernization.
“This is not African culture (Uganda) , a shame of the highest level. I condemn this,” Ar Emma said.
“It’s all for attention. Plan zero. Siblings kiss on the cheeks. This is just a stunt to be infamous,” Wesley William noted.
“I don’t think there is anything behind this ,they love each other a lot I think as brothers” Hadija Najumba said.
“Uganda Uganda my country olemwa you people you don’t know love forsure leave them alone mind your business soap is very expensive your here bringing nonsense,”Matsande Angella shared her thoughts about the Mayanja brothers’ actions.
