Senators, both from the majority and minority sides, now want Public Service CS Moses Kuria impeached.
The senators have called upon the majority leader at the National Assembly Kimani Ichungwa to table an impeachment motion against the CS for interfering with Kawira Mwangaza’s impeachment.
”In fact, Mr Speaker, I agree with members of this house who have brought a motion of censure before to discuss the conduct of this particular minister because every given opportunity has done nothing but embarrass the appointing authority,” the majority leader and Kericho senator Aaron Cheruiyot said.
”In fact, it is my submission, Mr. Speaker, that the earlier CS Moses Kuria is let off his duties, the better for this administration because in every single day, in every action that he undertakes, he continues to embarrass the President and the People,” her further said.
Nairobi senator Edwin Sifuna on the other hand wondered how long president Ruto will put up with Kuria.
“Moses Kuria is an incorrigible national shame. How much embarrassment does the president have to endure? If nothing is done about Moses Kuria, there is more embarrassment coming,” he warned.
Senator Moses Kajwang of Homabay went ahead to advise Kenya Kwanza senators to inform Ruto about Kuria’s conduct.
”Go and tell the boss that this guy is an embarrassment, not just to the government but to the republic of Kenya, he is an embarrassment to entire East Africa, the deals he has done have made Kenya look like a pariah,” stated senator Kajwang’ while Nandi senator Samson Cheraragei added that Transport CS Kipchumba Murkomen should not be spared as well.
“He is in good company of CS Murkomen, who insults and belittles anyone & everyone but Kuria only tweets. But Murkomen is worse. He takes the mic and bullies, insults and demeans the people and elected leaders even in funerals,” Cherargei said.
On Tuesday, after Kawira Mwangaza’s impeachment hearing kicked off, Kuria shared a series of tweets thrashing evidence provided against the governor. He also pointed out that 13 senators were being misled.
“Aaron Cheruiyot (Kericho), Jackson Mandago (Uasin Gishu), Sigei (Bomet), Sen. Mundigi (Embu), Samson Cherargei (Nandi), Seki (Kajiado), Fatuma Dullo (Isiolo), Abdul Haji (Garissa), Kamau Murango (Kirinyaga), Wahome Wamatinga (Nyeri), Kathuri Murungi (Meru), Wambua (Kitui). Kajwan’g (Homabay) STOP IT. You can see from evidence you are being misled,” Kuria said.
