Donald Trump has repeatedly called on election officials to stop counting votes in the wake of eminent defeat to Democratic challenger Joe Biden.
Trump campaign is trying to stop vote counts in states where there is indication Biden would surpass him, like Pennsylvania and Georgia, but demanding that all the votes are counted in states where they believe Trump has a chance of catching up to Biden, like Arizona and Nevada.
Trump himself has been all over Twitter claiming the election has been rigged, and demanding that vote counting be stopped.

Interestingly, If election officials stopped counting votes right now as Trump wants, it would give Joe Biden the necessary electoral votes to defeat Trump.

Biden needs only 17 more electoral votes to win. He’s ahead of Trump in both Arizona and Nevada, which collectively would give him the necessary votes.
Biden currently has 253 electoral votes while Trump has 214, according to Decision Desk HQ . A candidate needs 270 to win the US presidency.
Biden is ahead of Trump in both Arizona and Nevada, which have not yet been called by Decision Desk HQ. If vote counting stopped right now and the election was called, the two states would give Biden 17 electoral votes and he would hit 270 votes overall.
Though Trump is ahead in Pennsylvania, Georgia, and North Carolina, the three states that also remain uncalled, and Biden is projected to overtake Trump in Pennsylvania and even Georgia.
Biden is shrinking Trump’s lead in Pennsylvania as more votes continue coming in, and this is why Trump is so scared.
Even if Trump wins Pennsylvania, Georgia, and North Carolina, he will still not have enough electoral votes to defeat Biden.
It is also important to note that Biden also lead Trump in popular vote, the former Vice President has so far garnered 72,717,991 votes (50.4%) against Trump’s 69,119,886 (47.9%).
