Travelers from Kenya will now get into the United Kingdom without being subjected to quarantine.
British High Commission to Kenya Jane Marriott said that visitors from Kenya to the UK will not be subject to quarantine or required to take the Covid-19 test so long as they have been vaccinated.
Taking to her Twitter account, Marriot noted that the UK concluded a series of consultations between Kenya and the UK.
“Delighted people vaccinated in Kenya will be able to travel to the UK without quarantine, or taking a COVID test before departure.
“Great news for our peoples, business and tourism after tough 18 months. Huge thanks to @MOH_Kenya and CS Kagwe after our joint commitment two weeks ago,” Marriott wrote on her Twitter wall.
The removal of the requirement will be a big boost to the Kenyan hospitality industry, whose tourism season has started to be at its peak.
