Comedian and Actor Mulamwah revealed to his fans that MCSK CEO Ezekiel Mutua gifted him kshs20,000 after squaring out their differences.
TheĀ comedian revealed that by sharing a screenshot of the Mpesa message he had received from Mutua.
The duo ironed out their differences after meeting at the Marwa Music awards event that was held at Nairobi Cinema with Mulamwah saying they are now the best of friends.
“Yesterday we met with Dr Ezekiel Mutua , we spoke and Squared our differences. We are now best pals . Hatchet buried . Looking forward to working with MCSK in the near future as promised. Asante bro,” Mulamwah shared.
On the other hand, Mutua also confirmed that they had settled their differences and even had a handshake.
Mulamwah and Mutua have not been on good termsĀ for the past one year after exchanging words on social media because of a promise that the MCSK boss failed to honor. In April 2020, when Mulamwah was undergoing depression and had decided to quit comedy because of being trolled, Mutua promised to come to his rescue.
“I hear that Twitterates are driving Mulamwah out of comedy and into depression. Bro pick yourself up and give me a call. I will buy you a new shirt, mentor you and make you an ambassador of clean content. The best way of dealing with cyber bullying is refusing to give up,” he wrote.
After waiting for long enough for Mutua to keep his word, Mulamwah responded to the message asking if the MCSK boss was serious about what he had promised.
“Hello sir, @EzekielMutua, itās almost a year since your promise , did you mean it or you were just tweeting for the moment , or am I āinaccessibleā?. If the GVT cannot help us as youth , then please donāt instill false hope in us,itās better you leave us to suffer in peace,” Mulamwah said.
Mutua however responded to his tweet saying, “Bro, my little token of support was personal, not Govt. Sorry if it gave you a false sense of entitlement. We did a background check on you and U didn’t fit the “Clean Content Ambassadors” bill. We do not support filth & bad manners. Content does not have to be dirty to sell!”
In an interview with KTN in April 2021, Mulamwah said that he decided to tweet about Mutua’s promise since he had tried reaching out to him without success.
He added that Mutua was judging him from his past, something that he had outgrown.
When Mutua was unceremoniously kicked out of KFCB , the comedian was among the people who celebrated his ouster.
