The wrangle between ODM and Jimi Wanjigi moved to court for arbitration, however William Kabogo wants Raila’s party to deal with the businessman the street way.
Meru High Court on Thursday November 9th prohibited Wanjigi from opening perceived parallel ODM party offices or hosting any future member meetings.
The court also barred Wanjigi from performing any duties on behalf of ODM party until a petition by Philomena Kiogora is heard and determined.
Wanjigi clashed with ODM over his decision to open parallel offices in Murang’a, Kajiado and Nyeri counties without consent from the party’s leadership.
ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna in September warn members that it would take stern action against persons opening other offices without approval.
The party leadership stressed that ODM offices are not individual projects but rather collective entities hence it must be consulted before new offices are opened.
Commenting on the ongoing ODM/Wanjigi wrangle, former Kiambu governor William Kabogo said Raila’s party shouldn’t bother with the tycoon since he is bound to fail.
Kabogo noted Wanjigi is still inexperienced in matters politics and as such ODM shouldn’t waste time bothering him instead just leave him to fail on his own.
“Am not sure I understand why ODM is spending time to deal with small matters. JW has never dealt with election nomination process, pls allow him. Experience is the best teacher,” Kabogo tweeted.
