The picture which has since went viral on social media shows the lady nurse relaxed on a seat comfortably as she got lost in her mobile phone.
This raised a lot of questions about incompetent civil servants who neglect their duties when no one is closely supervising them.
The governor sat waiting for hours as nurses at the hospital went on with their uncouth behavior under his watch.
The Tharaka Nithi County boss later revealed that the service at Chuka hospital was extremely poor and he was really shocked by the way locals were being treated at the facility.
Chuka hospital is not alone in delivering poor service to Kenyans, this is the modus operandi in most government hospitals across the country.
So many cases of medical negligence have been reported in government hospitals over years making many people to be apprehensive about visiting the facilities.
The fact that only poor people visit government hospital seeking medical service alone it quite telling.
