Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has called upon President William Ruto to intervene in the matter of his two missing Indian clients and their driver.
According to him, the trio was abducted by the Kenyan security team about three months ago, leaving their families desperate and hopeless.
“80 days after their abduction by Kenya’s security officers the whereabouts of my clients, 2 Indian Nationals & their Kenyan driver remains a mystery. Family members are hopelessly desperate. I petition H.E @WilliamsRuto to get to the bottom of this sad affair & give us answers!” the lawyer said.
Netizens were however quick to cast stones at him for taking his petition to social media, yet he is close with Ruto as others faulted his priorities.
“You have terrible priorities for this country. Ask the president to tell us who killed Musando and Jacob Juma. Let the Indians be first,” a netizen responded to his tweet.
“Is Ruto not your best friend? I thought this information was a priority for you so why is RUTO silent? UHURU/RUTO government was part of the deep state where extrajudicial killings were committed daily by killer cops and they were protected so you think Ruto will end?” another told him
The Indian nationals identified as Mohamed Zaid Sami Kidwai and Zulfiqar Ahmed reportedly came to Kenya in April to join the ICT team of Ruto’s campaign.
They were abducted on July 25 near Ole Sereni alongside their driver Nicodemus Mwania after and were driven away in a yet-to-be-identified car. Their car was blocked before the armed men picked them up abandoning their car at the scene.
Investigations into their disappearance were recently concluded and the file was expected to be forwarded to the Director of Public Prosecution for further action.
