Several people are feared trapped after a building collapses in Kericho town on Tuesday night.
According to the Red Cross official account, the residential building collapsed in Kericho town is owned by a local contracted came down after 7;30 pm Tuesday evening.
Kericho County Police Commander Silas Gichunge said search and rescue efforts are underway.
At the time of our writing, SonkoNews is yet to confirm the exact number of those trapped inside the ill-fated building as the rescue operation is taking place.

Sources indicate that the scene is currently chaotic, many people are trapped in the rubble were heard calling for help. A voice of a distressed woman has been heard calling for help to rescue her two children who are trapped under the rubble of the collapsed building.
Even though the main course of the collapse has not been exactly determined, sources say poor workmanship reportedly led to the collapse od the story building.
