Sonko To Offer Larry Madowo An Expensive Gift On Their Wedding

Date:

Former Nairobi governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has vowed to offer CNN News anchor Larry Madowo and his wife to be Edith Kimani an expensive ride if they wed.

According to Sonko, he will offer the two lovebirds a ride in the limousine if they decide to officiate their wedding through a wedding.

“Itabidi I re-launch Sonko Free Wedding Limo hako ka feeling ka kushikwa hivyo aijuae “mshikwo” Wrote Sonko.

Sonko’s offer came in the wake of Larry Madowo and Edith Kimani sharing romantic photos in the social media, something which left some Kenyan women who were hopping to have the news anchor for themselves  more jealous.

Apparently, the celebrated journalist has been on the receiving end for being single with many people wondering whether he was normal. This has seen people brand him “gay” especially after he opened up sometimes that he had a soft spot for gays.

Just recently, Mr. Madowo while in an interview with the Ghanaian member of parliament Sam George fumed at the laws that were interfering with the rights of gays.

In what seemed to be an almost a bitter exchange, Larry Madowo demanded to know why Ghana was busy passing an anti-LGBT law in the country. “Why are you pushing this bill that would  legalise hate and homophobia in Ghana?” Asked the CNN news anchor.

Feeling pushed to the wall by Larry, this is what Sam George answered: “I do not understand what you mean when you saying that I am pushing a bill that would legalise hate and homophobia. It is a bill to promote proper sexual human rights and Ghanaian family values. If you have another bill that you’re talking about then maybe you are talking to the wrong man.”

“What are these Ghanain family values,”  Larry Madowo countered of which the Ghanaian member of parliament replied: “Article 39 of the Ghanaian constitution is clear that the state shall take steps to inculcate the right Ghanaian customary value. Ghanaian culture forbids homosexuality,”

“But aren’t Ghanaian LGBTQ members also part of the Ghanaian culture,” Larry

“Some of the individuals involved in funding terror activities in America are American. Is it American culture to kill people?” the Ghanaian MP made a rejoinder.

“That’s a false comparison, Just because it is the law doesn’t mean it is just,” Madowo.

“Laws are a reflection of the society. Until 1960 (actually, it was 1920) , American’s didn’t allow women to vote and so women didn’t vote then. It was when society evolved that they were allowed to vote. Until Ghanaian society evolves, we aren’t welcoming of homosexuality in our culture and any other person must respect the views of our society,” The MP explained.

“What would the MP tell LGBTQ people who are afraid for their safety when the law takes effect?” Larry.

“Every person breaking a law should be afraid of the law. Let’s also remember this, the USA in 2021 is still the most dangerous place for homosexuals,” Mr. George continued of which Larry answered: “But this isn’t about the USA, it’s about Ghana, sir,”

From the interview, Larry Madowo’s love for the gays stood out as he demanded that they not only be respected but also free to  make a decision on their sexual preferences.
